Interested in Interactive Grid? Looking for practical guidance on when, why, and how to upgrade to or adopt the APEX Interactive Grid region type? This session examines the functionality, structure, and APIs (high level) of the new Interactive Grid region type as a replacement for Interactive Reports and tabular forms.
Should you upgrade and fix, or rebuild a customized region? We’ll compare Interactive Grid features with comparative (and/or lacking) features in Interactive Reports and tabular forms and demonstrate how to handle common requirements—checklists, cascading select lists, row-level validations, interactions between columns, navigation between fields, dynamic actions—to see what Interactive Grid does declaratively and where one may need to customize.
Attendees will learn the essentials for declarative features and common JavaScript-based customizations for Interactive Grids. Attendees will learn the essentials for declarative features and common JavaScript-based customizations for Interactive Grids.
This session is focused on mainstream APEX developers, or those new to APEX, who are looking to adopt Interactive Grids. The aim is to present JavaScript constructs and syntax for Interactive Grid JavaScript customizations, sufficient to help traditionally PL/SQL-based users transition their existing interactive report or tabular form customizations from PL/SQL to their JavaScript equivalents.
